2026: LEG WARMERS

Leg warmers i desperately needed. Ordered yarn on amazon. Red Heart 3 cakes in a batch. Not quality but at least it is acrylic. Wound into 3 separate balls. it tangles like crazy, so annoying. Started them on March 23. cast on 61 stitches on #10 needles so I could join them easily then switch to 2 # 8 needles for the rest of the project.

glad I noted about that I started with #10 needles.

yay finally finished knitting leg warmers. I wear them in Winter to keep warm, jeans and boots snow free and the rest of the year slow down tick travel time up my leg. Now to search for errors and dropped stitches and finish them off.

60 stitches on #8 circular needkles approx 16 inches long. will try hat with 7o stitches and then a shawl. This yarn tangles like crazy.

leg warmers took from March 23 to May 17. 2 rows a day. long fancy cast off.

2026: projects using left over yarn

 2026 knitting projects

limited to using up left over yarns. Hands not as nimble as years before. and limited daylight does not help.

so a variety of iCords, mug squares and squares for walker handles. Pom poms. etc

squares for walker I use when I shower are vital. Those handlebars are slippery if wet or soap is involved.

I am sure I did not "discover this stitch but I use it as a design I came up with for variety, stretch and ribbing. Would make a great sweater but I cannot focus enough for a sweater project.

cast on 25 stitches on #8 circular needle.

slip first stitch, knit 2, purl one, knit 3, purl one to end. repeat that row.

next 2 rows slip one knit all to end

cast off using long cast off so it is a frilly edge.

favorite mauvy purple yarn and  varigated  purple and blues yarn. both woolish.
