Things worked on and completed so far
That fuzzy purple yarn goes a long way. The neck warmer is made with baby yarn and is so soft and flowing.
The socks are so nice but take forever to knit.

June already and I am behind as usual. so here are pix from photo files February 2 2020
the scarf i ripped out yet again and finished end of May. the last is purple 100% wool knit 2 purl 2 on uneven number of rows and was quick and fun. kind of afraid to wash it because it is perfect now.
pattern samples from January 2020 using the knit 2 purl 2 with circular needles and on straight needles for the scarf. scarf it creates a great ribbing.

it was beautiful texture and easy to work with and made a warm hat

ha ha ha- found this- I tried a pattern that asked for three wraps with each stitch- that was a huge fail with me.
May 2020
finished a neckwarmer using a cake of yarn in purples and greys. Attempted many things before this and either too tight or too big. Finally something that was comfortable LOL The yarn apparently wears like steel. with all the pulling out it went through.
I guess blogger is down for photos in both browsers.
later. I guess it also pulls up as a head protection- but I cannot find in in my drawers. Too hot to try on today anyhow.

In June I started these projects I think the wool aht I have pulled out twice since this. Purple leg warmers using the cheap yarn I had that is too stiff for anything else. an iCord and a knit 2 purl teo staggered pattern hat

was knitting these socks and got so far and decided to try them on- too tight. Had to rip them out and start over. Using left over yarn in 3 colors same type and brand.

pair of socks to wear with my wool clogs- using left over scraps of a favorite fine yarn it has some wool. Using blue first then black then lastly red for the toe end.

hot weather and me knitting wool socks ugh finally finished these.They fit well and feel great.

wound some new Paton sock yarn into a ball.Jazzy colors- should be fun
So that bulky yarn that was so colorful and attractive on the website- turned out to be too bulky and the colors not properly spaced for self striping. BUT it made a perfect seat cover for my cold ass.

so I finally finish the purple shawl. 132 stitches on last row seemed to take forever and it ends up not being shawl size but a nice triangular scarf LOL and the color in daylight after washing is a mottled combination of purple and mauve so! still pretty. so like I said I washed it and hung it to dry and in here with the light shining through it d=from afar I could see a huge dropped stitch that must have happened on the last 3 rows oh jeepers. I was going to tie it in a knot on the three corners and make it look like that's the ways it is supposed to be . But eventually I ended up mending it by finding 3 dropped stitches and looping them up. ugh good grief.

oh forgot to mention- with the days getting shorter I have been dropping stitches in new projects even though I use stitch markers every 10 stitches on everything. ugh tore out 3! And restarted. One will be a hat I hope but if too big will be a cowl :)

Saturday was the last day of "A Great Yarn" shop in Chatham .They sent out notice of a 75% off everything. Usually I only go in there when there is a 50% sale and can barely afford it even at that. So with covid restrictions etc and me not wanting to "shop" I ventured in and they had basically just this type of yarn left. I was hoping for some 100% wool that is nubby. oh well. I grabbed 3 skeins different colors and stood in line alone for what I felt was too long. So I put back 2 skeins and someone got ahead of me. LOL well the price was $1.50 ( regular 6.00) and at least I got something. The store will be taken over by Ann from "Who Gives A Stitch" in Yarmouth. It will be interesting to see her inventory. It reopens mid November.
first is an illusion scarf or something like that where you knit in the round changing colors as you go. Usually it is shades of the same. Well my version is half that. I use up all my fingering yarn. The larger balls of yarn to be followed by scraps of others. Samples follow

lastly and not least a project I do when enough oddball yarns are left that are too small for anything BUT these wind direction detectors or wind catchers. They are icords knit to various lengths usually 3-4 stitch. leaving a tail both ends. one for attaching a button or bead to give it weight the other tail to tie together with the rest. My first windcatcher is almost totally gone after weathering the winds here- They cling to the rough cedar siding and create neat patterns. Of course as windy as it is today they are not cooperating. But you get the point.

making headway on a redo on the green soft wool hat knit on #11 to 5 inches then onto 10-1/2 needles to 6 inches then begin to decrease for cast off. Hope it works it is lovely yarn
