YARN-2017 projects

So far halfway through February
legwarmers start that's February 6th 2017

Hats
one adult multicolor

a baby hat similar to the one I made for Kymberlee's baby girl.

and a beige double knit adult hat

ran across a video on youtube with instructions for making pom poms for hats. I gave it a try. It is tedious for my hands but the hats do look better. I do not like pom poms on a hat though because I pull my hood up over my hat and it catches. :)

okay it is the end of August and I got these things together to photograph outside for the best light. Took the clothes rack below and took the bag of items down and sweatshirt and camera and phone and keys. Managed to take 3 + photos of the shawls and then the sun went behind a cloud and the winds whipped up. Just cannot get the colors correct! And it got hot!
first attempt:
Shawls and leg warmers

these next two hats- the purple one could go with the leg warmers. :)

Now to the inside photos with stronger light- I hope
Baby hats

Shawls

That middle one is supposed to be a moss green. ho hum

okay finished up more this is past middle of October I should find a place to donate these items .  The two white baby blankets were the most difficult and tedious.

 neck warmer

I think that is it for this year. The items I am working on now are another shawl, a pair of sleep socks for myself- testing a new pattern, a dark green bulky yarn hat with a tedious pattern to follow, a doll shawl.

Took most of these- minus the leg warmers and the doll shawl and none of the shawls- to the Hyannis Public Library to donate to their hat tree. I am keeping the leg warmers for myself. The shawls I will find a home for somewhere.

November 24 2017

The shawls ended up being donated to the Food Pantry bin at Shaws in Orleans.

Homeless council contacted me a couple of days ago and they would love donated knitwear. So they are on the list for next batch.

oh and baby blankets- one I tried to unravel and re knit- and it tangled and fell apart. The other I use as a seat warmer.
